• ロンドン・ブリクストン生まれ。 ヴィヴィアン・ウエストウッド 「SEX」 と並び、 ロンドンカ ルチャーの中心的存在だったショップ 「アクメ・アトラクシ ョンズ」を運営したドン・レッツは、 そのアティチュードか ら、 ファッション、 そしてショップの壁を重低音で振動させるダブレゲエで注目を集めた。 彼が初めてDJを務めたクラブ「ROXY」は、 100日間の限定 営業であったが、 パンクスにレゲエの魅力を伝えたことで 伝説となった。 その経験から真の DIY 精神を学んだ彼は映 像作家としても活動。 リアルタイムで当時の映像を撮
り、 '79年に初のパンク・ドキュメンタリー映画 『PUNK ROCK MOVIE』 を制作。 また、 THE CLASH 全ての MV を 監督したことでも知られている。 ‘80年代半ばには THE CLASH を脱退した MICK JONES と 「BIG AUDIO DYNAMITE」 を結成。 ‘03年 THE CLASH のドキュメンタ リー『WESTWAY TO THE WORLD』 でグラミー賞受賞。 '05年にパンクの核心にせまった 「PUNK:ATTITUDE』 を制 作。 ‘21年 世界中で愛されるコンピシリーズ 『Late Night Tales』 にセレクターとして参加。 独自のダブアウトされた セレクションで賞賛を集めた。 自身のソロプロジェクトであ る 「REBEL DREAD」 名義初のアルバム 「Outta Sync」 を‘23年リリース。 アルバムでは故・TerryHallやHollie Cook などゲストボーカルが参加。

• DADDY G is a core member of MASSIVE ATTACK and is also known as the founder of the WILD BUNCH SOUND SYSTEM.
He has made a name for himself as a pioneer of the UK Bristol sound, incorporating DUB, REGGAE, FUNK, DISCO and HIP HOP, as represented by SMITH&MIGHTY, TRICKY and PORTISHEAD. DADDY G is active globally in the fast-paced scene, and his spirit has had a profound influence on artists of all genres. Before his MASSIVE ATTACK days, he made a name for himself as a DJ, making mixtapes at the tender age of 10, and by 1980, his outstanding taste had established him as one of Bristol's best young DJs. His innovative disco, punk funk, soul, dub and reggae music captivated many fans, and the enthusiasm of his fans shows how much his DJ sets set him apart from other artists. DADDYG is not only skilled at selecting and mixing tracks, but also at freely manipulating the microphone. Amongst the many DJs out there, the music world he creates has a very special warmth and presence that is unique and one of a kind. With a new release and a massive tour coming up in 2026 as MASSIVE ATTACK, he is entering a new phase of his career.

• DON LETTS (REBEL DREAD HARDWARE).

• Born in Brixton, London. Don Letts, who ran Acme Attractions, a shop that was at the heart of London culture alongside Vivienne Westwood's SEX, attracted attention for his attitude to fashion and his dub reggae, which vibrates the walls of his shop with a heavy bass sound. He first attracted attention with his ‘Rhythm & Rhythm’, which was his first DJ gig. His first club, ROXY, where he DJ'd for 100 days, became a legend for introducing punks to reggae. The experience taught him the true DIY spirit, and he also worked as a filmmaker. He filmed in real time and produced his first punk documentary film, PUNK ROCK MOVIE, in 1979. He is also known for directing all of THE CLASH's music videos. In the mid-80s, he formed BIG AUDIO DYNAMITE with MICK JONES after leaving THE CLASH. In 2003, he won a Grammy Award for his documentary on THE CLASH, WESTWAY TO THE WORLD. In 2005, he produced PUNK: ATTITUDE, which went to the heart of punk. In 2009, he was a selector on the internationally loved compilation series “Late Night Tales”. His unique dubbed-out selections won acclaim. Released his first album “Outta Sync” in 2011 under the name “Rebel Dread”, his solo project. The album features guest vocalists such as the late Terry Hall and Hollie Cook.
Has his own programme, Culture Clash Radio, every Saturday on BBC Radio 6 Music. Also a STUSSY original tribe member, he continues to receive enthusiastic offers from creators around the world as a culture icon. +++
